On yer bike in Pennsylvania

The Great Allegheny Passage in Pennsylvania can now be explored through guided bike tours.

Wilderness Voyageurs has launched two types of cycling tours departing on select dates from July to October.

Named one of the gems of the Laurel Highlands, The Great Allegheny Passage is a multi-use, car-free trail popular with both hikers and cyclists. The Passage runs for over 200 miles from Washington D.C to Pittsburgh.

The tours run for three or six days and are suitable for intermediate riders. They start in Boston, travel through the small picturesque river and rail towns in the region and includes a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright’s ‘Fallingwater’ and Antietam National Battlefield, site of the Civil War’s bloodiest battle. The company provides “inn to inn” transport luggage and other items.
