Texas targets the UK

Texas Tourism has launched an extensive UK consumer promotion focussing on the major reasons for visiting the Lone Star State.

Backed by a UK promotional website (www.TravelTex.com/ukpromo) the campaign highlights the fact that there is more to Texas than cowboys, and concentrates on the culture, music, gastronomy and adventure prevalent throughout the state.

The activities include exposure in BBC Lonely Planet magazine, an in-store and online promotion with outdoor clothing provider Berghaus, plus activities at the Outdoor Show. Music, film and culture are being promoted through a partnership with AOL and food and drink is being profiled in the Jamie Oliver Magazine, on Facebook and Twitter.
