US Airways’ suite way to travel
US Airways has introduced 'the next generation of business class travel' which includes a new fully lie-flat bed on its transatlantic routes.
As well as a redesigned cabin interior, the new Envoy Suite features a fully adjustable 20.5in wide seat with lie-flat bed which ranges from 6ft 4in to 6ft 8in, direct aisle access from each suite with all seats facing forward' 'generous' space and stowage with a width of almost 3ft 6in, a technological panel which includes a 110-volt universal power outlet, satellite phone and USB port and a state-of-the-art personal entertainment system with a 12.1in adjustable touch screen.
'We're excited about bringing this industry-leading concept to our customers," said Andrew Nocella, senior v-p, marketing and planning. "The innovative cabin layout and thoughtful design of the Envoy Suite allows for greater comfort and functionality for our international travellers."
US Airways operates services to Philadelphia from Heathrow, Gatwick Dublin and, in the summer, Glasgow plus a route from Gatwick to Charleston.
