W Hotels opens ninth property in Boston

W Hotels Worldwide unveiled its latest W hotel last month (December). The Residences at W Boston, the W brand’s 35th hotel globally, is located in the heart of Midtown, with 123 W-branded residences; Descent, an underground bar and lounge; Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s casual restaurant, Market; Bliss® spa, making its Boston debut; a SWEAT® state-of-the-art fitness centre; and W Hotels The Store.

W Boston is the product of a winning collaboration between Boston-based architect William Rawn and New York-based design team Bentel & Bentel, who together have created an urban oasis that pays homage to Boston Common, the Public Garden and Boston’s other prominent green spaces. www.whotels.com/boston
