Winter cheer from New York City

NYC & Company, the Big Apple’s official tourism organization, is highlighting a value-added winter promotion that runs throughout January and February 2010.

Designed to encourage international tourists to visit New York’s five boroughs, the NYC: The Real Deal™ Winter 2010 gives access to more than 200 special offers at hotels, attractions, museums, theatres, restaurants, shops and tours.

Many of the deals will provide two-for-one incentives, while close to 70 hotels will offer either a $50 hotel bonus on a minimum two-night stay with arrival on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, or 50% off a Sunday-night stay for a minimum two-night stay with arrival on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.
Hotels offering 50% savings on the Sunday rate include the Hilton New York and all five W Hotels in New York City.

For the first time, NYC & Company has a ‘bounce-back’ promotion in which those partaking in a booking pattern outlined above can receive the same bonus or discount when returning to visit in July or August.
"New York City offers unprecedented value in January and February," said Jane Reiss, NYC & Company's chief marketing officer.

"We encourage both visitors and New Yorkers to take advantage of the special deals at our hotels, attractions, museums, shops, restaurants and others while experiencing the City's energy and excitement. Also, lines at museums and attractions will be shorter, giving visitors and residents more space to enjoy the City."

The programme runs from January 4 to February 28.
