VUSA to push the ‘value’ message for 2010
Two thousand and nine might have been one of the toughest years for travel and tourism but the US remains the top long-haul destination out of the UK and still offers outstanding value for money.
Visit USA Association will continue to push this message throughout 2010 and will maintain its wide range of events and activities to help maximise UK visitation to the US.
The following key VUSA events are already planned:-
January 20 VUSA Meets the Media in the Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in London’s Great Marlborough Street.
March 25 VUSA General Meeting
July 8 Independence Day Ball in the newly-opened Savoy Hotel
September 16 VUSA General Meeting
November 8 WTM Briefing in the Crowne Plaza ExCel Hotel
Visit USA will also maintain its extensive publishing programme in 2010 with the annual Visit USA Travelplanner published in November – also available online at www.visitusa.org.uk - as well as monthly e-newsletters to the trade and the bi-monthly Visit USA Travelnews emailed out to consumers. The Association will also continue to enjoy regular exposure in the trade press including Visit USA Now! in Selling Long Haul.
Like almost every other destination in the world, visitor figures to the USA have declined in 2009 but America remains exceptional value for money. Aside from the frequent airline and hotel deals prices once there remains in a class of their own. Whether your clients are visiting attractions, eating out or, of course, just shopping, the USA is still the place to sell.
