IHG has new Manhattan story

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opened the InterContinental New York Times Square last month, the largest new hotel in Manhattan since 2002. It is located on 8th Avenue and 44th Street, just west of Times Square and within walking distance of 40 theatres and close to the fashion district.

The 36-floor hotel has 607 bedrooms, 25 Panoramic Avenue Suites and a 2,700 sq ft presidential suite. It offers guests unrivalled views over Times Square, Broadway, the Hudson River and the New York City skyline from almost all the hotel’s giant windows.

Highlights include its French restaurant, Ça Va, run by celebrity chef, Todd English, and Ça Va Marché, where guests can grab light dishes such as quiches, soups and salads.

All bedrooms feature a 42-inch flat panel HDTV, a work area with a touch screen computer (meaning guests can leave their laptops at home), free Wi-Fi and an extra large bathroom with a walk-in rain shower.

The InterContinental New York Times Square is the largest new-build hotel in New York to achieve LEED® certification from the U.S. Green Building Counsel (USGBC).
