Tucson ready to jazz it up a little

The second running of Tucson’s downtown Latin Jazz Festival is the place to be for any clients heading to Arizona next month.

Last year’s festival hit all the right notes while attracting hundreds of visitors for a weekend of music and dancing.

This year's version (September 10-11), features, on the Friday evening, a salsa dance party in the La Placita Village courtyard that will include a free concert by lively Tucson band Tito y Su Nuevo Son, a beer garden and margaritas.

On the Saturday night, the headline act is Afro-Cuban music legend Larry Harlow, who will play at Leo Rich Theatre in the Tucson Convention Center Plaza.

General admission tickets are $25. For details contact Tucson Jazz Society at +1 520 903-1265; www.tucsonjazz.org/
