USA Bookings are on the rise

Bookings to the USA have bounced back strongly, says one Stateside specialist.
“The USA has been a hugely popular holiday destination for us this year,” said Heidi Blades, general manager USA, Canada and Caribbean for Premier Holidays.

“Our bookings to America were up by 19% in July compared to the same month last year and 27% up for this financial year, which is fantastic. We are looking forward to strong sales for the rest of the year with the upcoming launch of our USA 2011 brochure.”

Premier Holidays has added new products and expanded its offering in Las Vegas, Florida and Alabama, with over 6,000 hotels now available online and in-house.

Four nights in Las Vegas, in a deluxe suite on a room-only basis at the five-star Vdara Hotel and Spa, lead in at £829pp, including return flights from Gatwick with Virgin Atlantic, for travel between September 10 2010 and March 2011 (bookings before October 31).

Agents can earn up to £50 in vouchers and receive enhanced commission when booking accommodation with Premier online.

Georgia is one US state enjoying an increase in visitor numbers.
“UK visitor figures have risen this year by 9%”, said Peter Hannaford, director of Georgia Tourism in the UK. “Georgia takes its position as one of the very few American states to see an increase in visitors from the UK.”
