Fairmont is Pittsburgh’s first premier hotel
The Fairmont Pittsburgh, the Pennsylvania city’s first premier luxury hotel, opened in late March.
Each room in the 185-room hotel features LCD HDTVs, iPod docking stations and four-fixture bathrooms. Guests also enjoy spectacular views of the city landscape and rivers courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows, a first for any hotel in the city.
The hotel's design pays a significant nod to the city’s illustrious history of steel making, with glass and steel elements used prominently. Atworks from local artists are displayed throughout the hotel.
The hotel has an introductory offer of $179 (about £117.34) pn, based on double occupancy, which includes deluxe accommodation and a $50 food and beverage credit, available from June 30.
