Texas thinks big

Texas has become famous for its larger than life events - ranging from the world’s largest livestock and rodeo show to the championship chilli cook off.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will take place from March 2–21 2010 and the Terlingua International Championship Chilli Cook Off  will run next month from November 5-7. 

In addition to this the Lone Star State is renowned for festivals showcasing the charm and culture of cowboy history such as the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering and Western Swing Festival scheduled for October 27 – 29 2009.
