Top speakers to attend Visit USA General Meeting
The Visit USA General Meeting will be held on October 1 with a great line up of speakers set to be in attendance.
The event will be held at 3pm at the MWB Meeting Venue, 10 Greycoat Place, Victoria, London SW1 1SB and will provide an opportunity for members to hear how the association can help during the current difficult times.
The speaker line-up will include Simon Brooks, manager consumer sales of British Airways, who will give an airline perspective of the 2009 market and first thoughts for 2010. John Walker, chairman Oxford Economics will give a global overview, and Steve Endacott, chief executive of The OnHoliday Group, will give the view from a shorthaul / wholesale perspective. The retail viewpoint will be explored by Trevor Davies, director of retail distribution, Co-Op Travel.
The agenda will also include a welcome from Kate Burgess-Craddy, chair, Visit USA; a Visit USA progress report and future plans update from Alan Waddell, COO, Visit USA; a public affairs update from Jonathan Sloan, chair Visit USA PR Committee; and a report from Matt Bates on the work of the Visit USA Training Committee.
Tracy Thomson, from the Visit USA Events Committee will give an update on the Visit USA ball and Visit USA 2009 road shows; and Kate Burgess-Craddy, will moderate an important session where members’ views will be sought on the 2009 UK-USA Travel Market Experience – and what comes next.
After the meeting drinks will be served at a retirement celebration for Peter Moss, Visit USA’s Chairman for the past three years.
