VUSA welcomes its new chair

Kate Burgess-Craddy is the new Chair of the Visit USA Association following the recent Board elections, when Peter Moss advised that he wished to stand down as Chairman. Kate was elected unanimously by the Board.

Kate’s appointment took place with effect from the end of the June 25th Board meeting and Peter will stay on as a Director of the Association until the end of his elected term, next March. Kate has therefore resigned as the Chair of Visit USA’s Public Relations Committee and Jonathan Sloan has been unanimously accepted by the Board as its new Chair. Jonathan’s appointment also includes his co-option as a Director of the Association, which appointment will terminate at March 31, 2010 when he will then be eligible to stand for re-election.

At the Board meeting, on behalf of all Visit USA members, the Directors unanimously registered their very sincere thanks to Peter for all his hard work and leadership throughout a very difficult period. Visit USA is now in a stronger position than at any time since it was formed and Peter has played a significant role in helping to achieve this success. Whilst Peter will remain on the Board until next March, his overall workload will now reduce in line with his retirement plans and the Board wished him a long and satisfying retirement.
