Maui makeover

The Maui Mana Kai Resort in Wailea/Kihei on Maui in Hawaii has completed a complete makeover of its facilities. The resort’s $5million (approx. £3.4million) makeover was inspired by the local Hawaiian saying“Mana Kai”, which means‘Spirit of the Sea’. The new colours of the resort reflect the hues of Keawekapu beach and the light green of the local tidal pools.

The resort claims that its rates are 50 per cent lower than surrounding five-star hotels.
