TrekAmerica perfect for some time out

FOR clients looking to take an extended break Stateside – whether school or university leavers, those on a career break or ‘grown-up gappers’ - TrekAmerica has the answer: a US ‘mega-adventure’.

The 64-day Trailblazer spans two months, covering 33 US states and Canadian provinces. The trip operates a circular route with departures from either New York or Los Angeles. The trek travels down the east of the USA from New York via Washington DC to Florida. It then passes through the southern states before dipping inland at New Mexico to take in the best sights in the Southwest including the Colorado Rockies, Arches National Park, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and Las Vegas.

It joins the Pacific Coast in San Diego, travelling north up into the northwest of Canada, before cutting back across to New York via Wyoming, South Dakota and Illinois amongst other states.

Out of the 64 days, 53 nights are spent camping and the remainder are in hotels (predominantly in city stops). Along the way, there will be endless opportunities for adventure and outdoors activities such as whitewater rafting, horseback riding and hiking.

The price includes all camping fees/equipment, transportation and the services of a TrekAmerica tour leader. Admission to several attractions such as Disneyworld, Carlsbad Caverns and Monument Valley, plus experiences such as the Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist tour are also included.

Departures in March 2009 will start from £2,859 excluding flights.
