Agents invited to take the Orlando training challenge

THE Orlando Tourism Bureau’s online training programme, Orlando Holiday Specialist, has registered its 2,000th agent.

Launched in April 2007, the Travel Uni initiative has seen a cross-section of agents, from independent agencies, the UK’s leading tour operators and home-working travel experts, sign up to the programme which enjoys a 40% completion rate, making it one of the industry’s leading training programmes.

The Orlando Tourism Bureau has joined forces with its theme park partners, Universal Parks & Resorts, Walt Disney World Resort and Worlds of Discovery, to reward those agents that have completed the training with the chance to gain a place on Orlando’s 2008 Super Fam.

During their trip, travel professionals will visit SeaWorld’s new waterpark, Aquatica; take a journey through Springfield on the new Simpsons ride at Universal Studios; interact with Buzz and Woody in Toy Story Mania in Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park; and may even find a bargain at one of Orlando’s many outlet centres.

There’s still time for agents to become eligible for a place on the December trip providing they register and complete the five-module Orlando Holiday Specialist, programme by October 1, 2008.
