Chicago going underground to raise awareness
THE Illinois Bureau of Tourism has launched a new advertising campaign, Chicago: Feel Like It’s Made Just For You, to promote the city break charms of Chicago.
The campaign features 16 tube posters across 10 different locations on the London Underground and will be complemented by online advertisements. It focuses on the unique and intriguing elements of Chicago, with an emphasis on its varied attractions and colourful locals.
The first phase of the campaign highlights Chicago’s architecture and Blues music. London Underground stations will showcase more offerings this summer and autumn.
Simon Kavanagh, copywriter for the campaign, said: “We wanted to give people a more in-depth look at Chicago and the people and places that have made it the exciting, vibrant and enjoyable city it is today. We also wanted to communicate that all of this is ready and waiting, as though it’s been made just for you.”
